Diary of Dètid
Day 7
For the time being there's no near sign of hope, but how I know, a mere soldier in his first war can only pray that his gods and goddesses are watching over him. If I only had more study in my arts of sorcery, perhaps I could be of more use. Our fleet had just arrived and we have began to invade our new land. The Tuatha de Danann (Murphy) are a powerful tribe, ones that learned secrets and occult lore from the wizards who came, We are, at least from what our superiors are saying, winning in numbers and skill so far. I would be infatuated to know what their king holds and why we need this land, as we aren't told very much from those higher powers. However, I do believe that this battle will be a difficult one. On a side note, there has been a few figures in the sky that I cannot make out on my own, but I do believe they're new to me. Perhaps it's part of this land's animals that we don't have.
Day 12
When the army comes forwards, it fills my body with the courage to take another step into the unknown territory that will soon be ours. I praise our deity Hánnos for this marvelous first battle! The resounding amount of uplifting spirits is nearly unbelievable! To think, some weeks ago, I was just in a mere village, caring to the needs of my family and children, and now I'm in a unknown wilderness discovering my lost soul. It feels as though part of my body has been half empty for years, and now I am regaining my whole self! On a change of topics however, knowing someone will read this at a different time, perhaps even me, it has been foggy for quite some days now. Even with the mist of battle blocking my sights I still hear the bird like creature flying above us. Though I have not been thinking of it, some assumptions have crossed my path about what that creature might be or is doing here.
Day 59
We have finished the battle and have claimed this territory as our new home! I do hope when I come back that I am able to bring my tribe with me, they will be ever so grateful that we've discovered such an unsettled land! It has been a while since my last entry, however the weather has gotten much better, and my thoughts have resolved themselves and cleared up. I have been praising the creature who continues to follow us on our journey home, as I believe that it is the reason we are all still well, and in good health. When we get back into the tribe, I shall present the notion of making this creature I've decide to call "An t-éan", or " The Bird " as one could say, into a tribal deity of war. It would engender our battles to be most ever illustrious!

End-notes for Eulogy and Diary:
I felt the need for a contrast between 2 types of writing that would relay a message that disagreed with one another's outlook on their mythology. While at the same time, both are still in a different point of view, which is one of my favorite types of writing personally.
